Claims Manager - Workers Compensation - Sydney - 3 months (S35) As the Claims Manager your role will be to coordinate the processing of workers compensation claims, public liability claims and property claims including reviewing cases, claims reviews, conciliations and Court hearings and deliver cost-effective outcomes to support business objectives. You will also be responsible for providing technical advice on workers compensation, injury management, public and property liability and related legislative issues, and develop strategies, policies and procedures that link to injury management and ensure "best practice" in claims management.
You must have:- - Extensive knowledge and experience in the successful management and co-ordination of claims under the Workers Compensation Act, 1987 and the Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act, 1998 as well as managing public and property liability claims.
- Demonstrated policy, procedural and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment and with a results orientation.
- Extensive experience in claims reviews, case management and the handling of litigated workers compensation claims and dealing with multiple key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and experience in the use of computerised workers compensation claims management systems and data management systems of statistics.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both orally and in writing.
- High degree of initiative, flexibility and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated people management skills
- Current Driver's license
